Updates: 31st July 2010

Yes, I am as surprised as you are to be posting so soon. Whatever it was, the ISP decided to reconnect us within twenty-four hours of us phoning them to say our line was working. Only a fortnight of delay. So this week, as well as the next chapter of Oasis; Part 40, the second post of the fourth episode in my Obidala Saga, I have also renamed some more folders and links so they make more sense as the reason for having such ailases is long gone. Enjoy.

I can exclusively reveal that when Oasis finishes, which is in three more posts, including this one, I shall be posting my new Austen story; Along the River. I did try to get another Obidala finished, but due to various things occurring this year, the three I am working on are still in progress. Along the River isn't finished yet either, but it does have twenty-five chapters completed, and I estimate only nine chapters to be done after that.

Latest Desktops:

Something Wonderful Has Happened: Another scene erasing of Anakin, this time for the reunion after rescuing Chancellor Palpatine, when Padmé tells Obi-Wan she is pregnant. I manipulated him into the images, added the effects of exclusion, luminosity and overlay to the closeups, along with sun faded photo to the background image. The font is Valdimir Script.

Forgiveness: I find alot of Sarah McLachlan's songs suit Obidala, and when I got her latest album, a lot of the tracks cried out for desktops. This is just a focus on Anakin's act of violence upon his wife, asking for forgiveness after all his crimes, expecting to receive it from his mentor and brother and his wife. As the song says, he is asking too much. I just used blending and erasing for this design. The font is Beautiful ES.

Wonder: Another of Sarah McLachlan's songs. This is just about Padmé and Obi-Wan taking a moment after all that has happened and is still come to let their souls catch up and their emotions adjust to the tragedy which overtaking them, as well as an allusion to their feelings for each other. Again it was simply a matter of blending and erasing. The fonts are Champagne and Larissa.

Love Come: Yet another song from Sarah McLachlan, and one of my absolute favourites from Laws of Illusion. The moment I heard this I had to use it for Obidala, and the scene where he caresses her cheek in the skiff during ROTS fitted the lyrics perfectly. How anyone can claim that he doesn't love her after seeing that is deep in denial. I just blended and erased until the images merged, and manipped Obi-Wan's hand on the image where her eyes are open. The font is Valdimir script.

Version 35: This design is a variation on a past layout. The background is a plain dark wood grain with screencaps from Star Wars, Obidala themed. I applied a technique called Sun Faded Photo to the images on the left, using Photoshop CS4. The lightsaber is Master Kenobi's from ROTS, by Master Replicas, and the necklace is from my Oasis story. I have applied a chrome gradient to the text, and dropped shadow. The title is Latin; Memento - Memory; Amor - Love. Fonts are; Beautiful ES, Episode I, Champignon, Decadentia.

Finally, I would like to thank all of you who have left me feedback, including those who continue to find my fanfic on fanfiction.net and sign themselves on the alert system for my updates, I am flattered, humbled and gratified that so many enjoy my scribblings.

Enjoy.
